The perhaps most anticipated release in Kyno’s history brings support for Blackmagic RAW files, enabling Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera shooters to preview, manage and transcode their files on Mac & Windows. If you’re editing with Blackmagic’s DaVinci Resolve you’ll be pleased to hear that we’ve added “Send-To” integration for Mac and Windows.

Other big news include our integration with Avid Media Composer in the form of ALE export and copy pasting of markers from Kyno, improvements geared towards high-end workflows such as sidecar LUTs, import and export capabilities between Kyno and Final Cut Pro and our new incremental transcoding feature.

We created a number of new getting started videos to provide a much better onboarding experience. We think it’s definitely worth a look, even for people already familiar with Kyno.
