Added a utility for authoring cloud profile LUT textures, for advanced control of volumetric cloud shaping. The tool is the Cloud Profile Authoring Tool, found in Blueprints/Tools.
Added an option to the Weather Override Volume for “Erase Other WOVs”. This makes the WOV apply the global weather state instead of its own, so it can effectively cut a hole within another WOV.
Added a new component class, Material Snow/Dust Reorient. This is for use on actors with moving meshes using Surface Weather Effects for snow/dust coverage. It monitors the component’s rotation periodically, and controls a parameter for the direction of snow/dust coverage. This allows something like a box with snow on top to tip over, keeping snow coverage on the side it had formed, then slowly over time the snow coverage will move to the new upward facing side.
Added a feature which allows rendering exponential height fog when using the path tracer. This is achieved using a post process material that approximates the height fog, to fill in for the native fog rendering support that the path tracer does not have. Note, as this isn’t real fog rendering, just a custom post process effect, it has some limitations, like not showing up in reflections. It can be toggled from a setting in the advanced dropdown of the Fog Color category.
Added inputs to Dynamic Landscape Weather Effects V2 for masking the rain and wind ripple textures in puddles.
Added an event dispatcher called Impacted Ground to the DLWE Interaction component. It is called when the component registers touching the ground collision, and outputs the hit result of that collision trace. Can be used to drive custom behavior using the DLWE Interaction component.
Added a setting for Custom Sky Sphere Static Mesh to UDS, to replace the static mesh used for the sky material if needed.
