Learn how to create an environment in Unreal Engine 5 using modern technologies. In this 4-hour workshop, Phil Stoltz, a senior environment artist working in the video game industry, will share his tips and techniques for creating a photorealistic medieval castle scene.
The chapters in this course cover the environment creation pipeline in detail. Using a wide range of software in addition to Unreal, including Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter and Megascans, Phil walks viewers through his entire thought process, demonstrating several different methods for creating environments. Follow the instructions from blocking the scene to ending it. Using storyboards to plan the scene and use the new Lumen system in Unreal Engine 5 to set up lighting.
