Hide and lock Selected vertices

Hide only vertices and lock edits

Protects the mesh from editing while the faces remain visible.
It is also possible to hide only the points of the curve.

Vertex is hidden with the Face displayed

Proportional edit is not affected

Not selected by box selection etc.
