Ky_Trail Pro – is the next generation of the popular free plug-in for 3ds Max – Ky_Trail, which was first released in early 2005. Professional version includes many changes and improvements. It is based on completely revised core, which supports multi-threading, and many new visualization parameters. Ky_Trail Pro is equipped with much faster algorithms. In particular, the render time of traces for a Particle Flow system was reduced several times.
After installing the plug-in and start 3ds Max, to access the user interface you need to select the menu item the Rendering / Effects … . In the window that opens, click the Add … button , select Ky_Trail Pro in the Add Effect list , and click OK .

All plugin settings are distributed across several scrolls and united by semantic groups.

Rollout 1
Emmitters
The Emitters Scroll contains tools that allow you to specify scene objects that will be the source of traces.

Emitters list
The Emitters List group contains directly a list of sources and buttons for managing this list.

Add
allows you to add one or more sources to the list. As sources can be used any objects of the scene, including particle systems.
Replace
allows you to replace the source in the list.
Remove
allows you to remove the source from the list.
Particle flow options
The Particle Flow Options group contains additional parameters for Particle Flow sources .

Use Wireframe Color Filter for Particle Flow
allows you to use Particle Flow particles as sources only with a specific display
